Winter Celebration

On the evening of Thursday, December 7 we would like to welcome families of students in Kindergarten to Grade 2 to our Winter Celebration. (We will also be hosting a Spring Concert for students in Grades 3-5). This will be an opportunity for families to see their children on the stage as they share in song and performance.

We will be holding three concerts, each featuring a specific grade of students. Families are invited to watch the concert of their child(ren)’s grade. This format allows you to enjoy your child participating in every song, rather than feeling the need to watch the performances of students from other grades. The concerts are designed to be about 20-25 minutes in length before the group is cycled out and a new group takes the stage. The concerts will run at the following times:

  • All Kindergarten classes 5:30-6:00pm All Grade 2 classes 6:15-6:45pm
  • All Grade 1 classes 7:00-7:30pm

We look forward to having you join us on December 7 to watch our greatest young performers take the stage.

School Improvement Results Report and School Development Plan|

Each year schools create a School Development Plan (SDP) that reflects and aligns with the CBE Three-Year Education Plan as well as school specific priorities. Schools also report on these results in the School Improvement Results Report each year.

Our School Development Plan for the 2023-2024 school year has now been posted to the Sibylla Kiddle website.

Lost and Not Yet Found

We have two overflowing cabinets of “lost and not yet found” items. Lost items are sorted and displayed. If your child is missing something (notably coats/hoodies), please encourage them to pick them up this week or stop by the school to look for missing items. Before or after school is a good time for parents to have a look through the “lost and not yet found” items.
As a reminder, please label your child(ren)s clothing. When it has a name, we can get it back to its owner. Unclaimed clothing will be packed and donated at the end of next week.

School Council/Parent Society Notes|

The next School Council/Parent Society Meeting will be Wednesday, December 6 at 6:30pm in our Learning Commons.
