One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Act for the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. About Our Parent Society
Our Parent Society is known as the Fundraising Society.
Meeting Dates/Schedule
Meetings will immediately follow School Council Meetings on the following dates. School Council meetings start at 6:30 PM.
Agendas will be posted on this website page a few days prior to the meeting. Minutes will be posted after the following meeting as they require approval before being posted. For example, the Minutes for the September meeting will be posted following approval at the October meeting.
If you would like topics added to the agenda, please email SibyllaKiddleCouncil@gmail.com approximately one week before the scheduled meeting date.
Membership
Membership is open to any parent at Sibylla Kiddle School. However, voting on resolutions is only done by the Executive team. The Executive Team is determined through an election at the Annual General Meeting. All parents, as outlined in the bylaws, are eligible to vote for the Executive Team and the Annual General Meeting.
Volunteering
The Fundraising Society is always looking for volunteers to support with fundraisers for the school. Please consider volunteering your time to support with fundraisers such as Healthy Hunger and School Dances.
