Principal’s Message
“Reflection. Looking back so that so that the view looking forward is clearer.”
The buzz in the air is palpable. The end of the school year is always a whirlwind of activity, emotions, and transitions for our staff, students, and families. This time marks not only the end of one chapter but also the beginning of new adventures and opportunities that lie ahead. We reflect on the work we have done so far this year and anticipate the excitement of new beginnings after a summer break. Over the next few weeks together we will share learning and celebrate the growth we have seen since September.
As we prepare to bid farewell to the current school year and welcome the summer break, let us reflect on the journey we've undertaken together. Take time to remember the moments of triumph, the challenges overcome, and the bonds strengthened along the way with each other and with your students. These last few weeks together are an opportunity to enjoy all the hard work that has gotten you to this point in the year. When you truly look back you may be surprised at all that has transpired – it is always easy for us to forget where we came from!
In the words of Walt Disney, "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." Let's embrace the spirit of adventure and possibility and let's approach the future with optimism, courage, and a firm belief in the transformative power of education.
Active Living Morning
On the morning of Wednesday, June 19, we will hold our Active Living Morning. Through the theme of “Summer Olympics”, students will take part in a variety of activities outside on the compound and the school field. Please remember to dress your child for the weather including bringing a hat and water bottle and wearing bug spray and sunscreen. The School Council and Fundraising Society have generously provided freezies to be handed out to students at this event. If you would not like your child to have a freezie, please email your child’s teacher.
Outdoor Learning
With the warmer weather, we are taking more of our learning outside, including our gym lessons. We recommend that your student comes to school with the following items to ensure they are prepared for the outdoors:
- Outdoor running shoes
 - Hat
 - Water bottle
 - Sunscreen and bug spray (applied at home before school)
 - Dressing in layers (for the cooler mornings and warmer afternoons)

Field Trip Fees
Currently, the school has $7000 in outstanding field trip fees. Emails have been sent to families with outstanding fees. When these fees are not paid by families, the school must cover the cost. Please log into your MyCBE account over the month of June to check your balances and ensure you are caught up on all school fees and payments. You can pay online on your MyCBE account or in the office with Debit/Credit. We do not want any student to miss out on a learning activity due to the fees involved. Partial payments are an option for families and if other support is required, please reach out to the office.
Field trips are booked and paid for months in advanced, and the fee is calculated by the number of students in the whole class. If your child missed a field trip it is expected that payment is still collected.
