Principal’s Message
"May is a reminder that every lesson, every moment, and every smile has brought your students closer to who they’re becoming. The finish line is in sight—finish strong, with heart."
– Unknown
As we move through May, it’s hard to believe how quickly this school year has flown by. Each day has been filled with growth, challenges, joy, and discovery. Your children have worked hard, and so have you—cheering them on, supporting their efforts, and celebrating their wins.
Together, we have built something truly meaningful. Let us encourage our students to give their best in these final weeks, knowing that their journey is as important as the destination. The magic of learning is often in the small, everyday moments—and those moments have been nothing short of extraordinary.
As we look ahead to the last two months of school, what things will you put in place to help you ‘become’? Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Let us finish this year strong—together and with heart.

Traffic Safety Reminders
We are once again reminding families of the importance of traffic safety around the school. There have been several incidents of close calls as pedestrians have jaywalked in front of our school buses. The buses do not have the same viewpoints around their vehicles to see people walking in front of them. Following traffic rules and being observant as pedestrians keeps our community safe.
Safe driving practices go together with safe pedestrian practices. We kindly ask families to take the extra time to cross the road in the designated crosswalks and to take the time to drive around the block, rather than making U-turns in unsafe and illegal locations.
We appreciate all our families who are taking the extra time to model and practice safe driving and pedestrian habits for our students.
Field Trip Fees
Currently, the school has outstanding field trip fees. When these fees are not paid by families, the school must cover the cost. Please log into your MyCBE account over the month of June to check your balances and ensure you are caught up on all school fees and payments. You can pay online on your MyCBE account or in the office with Debit/Credit. We do not want any student to miss a learning activity due to the fees involved. Partial payments are an option for families and if other support is required, please reach out to the office.
Field trips are booked and paid for months in advanced, and the fee is calculated by the number of students in the whole class. If your child missed a field trip, it is expected that payment is still collected.
School Council/Parent Society Notes
Our next School Council/Parent Society meeting is Thursday, June 4 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held in the Forest at the school.
