Principal’s Message
“Curiousity is the fuel for discovery, inquiry and learning.”
-Unknown
This week, we’ve had the joy of welcoming a very special group of new arrivals to our school—baby ducklings! Watching them explore their world with wide-eyed wonder has been a beautiful reminder of the natural curiosity and eagerness to learn that lives in all of us, especially in our students.
Like ducklings stepping into the world for the first time, our students approach each day with a sense of discovery. Whether it’s asking thoughtful questions, trying something new, or navigating challenges with determination, their learning journey is powered by that same instinct to explore, understand, and grow.
It’s a delight to see how their minds open up just as the ducklings take their first wobbly steps—sometimes uncertain, but always brave and full of potential. These moments remind us how important it is to nurture curiosity and create a safe, supportive environment where young learners feel free to wonder, imagine, and learn.
As we move through these final weeks of school, let’s celebrate the progress our students have made and the natural curiosity that keeps them moving forward—just like the ducklings, growing a little stronger and more confident each day.

Lost and Not-Yet Found
We once again have two overflowing cabinets of lost and not yet found items. Lost items are sorted and displayed. If your child is missing something (notably coats/hoodies), please encourage them to pick them up this week or stop by the school to look for missing items. Before or after school is a good time for parents to have a look through the “lost and not yet found” items.
As a reminder, please label your child(ren)s clothing. When it has a name, we can get it back to its owner. Unclaimed clothing will be packed and donated after the school dance on May 16.
School Council/Parent Society Notes
Our next School Council/Parent Society meeting is Thursday, June 4 at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held in the Forest at the school.
A huge thank you to School Council and Parent Society for catering our Staff Appreciation Lunch on May 9. The staff felt very appreciated that day and we are grateful for all their efforts!
