Principal’s Message

“Gaining momentum in the direction you want to go is entirely in your hands.”   ~Alderson

As we move into June, it reminds us that progress—whether in learning, personal growth, or achieving goals—comes from consistent effort and belief in ourselves. Every small step your child takes matters and builds towards greater confidence and success.

We also recognize that June is an exciting yet often challenging month. For students and staff alike, it can bring a mix of anticipation for summer, final projects, assessments, and the wrapping up of the school year. That’s why it’s so important to approach this month with a balance of focus, self-care, and support.

As we dive headlong into June next week, we encourage you to help your child embrace the days ahead with a positive mindset. Celebrate their efforts, encourage them to set achievable daily goals, and remind them that even small accomplishments contribute to maintaining momentum. Taking breaks, staying organized, and communicating openly about how they’re feeling can make a real difference.

How will you support your child in maintaining their momentum this month? What routines or habits can you help nurture that promote steady progress and well-being, ensuring they finish the school year feeling proud and prepared?

Together, we can help our children navigate the excitement and challenges of June with resilience and confidence.

Active Living Day

On the morning of Thursday, June 19 students will take part in our Active Living Morning. Please ensure your child is dressed for the weather including a sun hat, sunscreen and a water bottle. Our school council and fundraising society has generously donated freezies for this event. Please contact your child’s teacher, should you wish for your child to not receive a freezie.

Yearbook On Sale Now

Yearbooks are on sale. Please ensure you purchase by June 20 to receive your 2024-2025 yearbook.

Learning Commons Note

Ms. Gallant asks that all books are returned to the Learning Commons by Friday, June 13. This allows for books to be processed and shelved prior to the Summer Break. Thank you for your support in keeping our learning space running smoothly.

School Council/Parent Society Notes

Our last school council/parent society meeting took place on Thursday, June 5. We look forward to welcoming parents to the 2025-2026 School Council meetings.
