Principal’s Message
“In order to move forward, you have to look back.”
~Matt Maher
As we come to the end of another school year, I find myself reflecting on the journey we've taken together. Looking back over the past year gives us a deeper appreciation for how far our students have come. This year has been filled with growth, challenges, perseverance, and countless moments of joy and discovery. Whether it was mastering a new skill, learning to collaborate more effectively, or simply building friendships, every experience has shaped who our students are becoming.
Reflection allows us to honor those milestones—big and small—and to recognize the incredible progress each child has made. It also gives us the clarity and inspiration we need to look ahead with purpose and hope.
As we prepare for the next school year, we do so with gratitude for the support and partnership of our families. Together, we’ve built a strong foundation that will serve our children well as they continue to learn, grow, and thrive. In the weeks ahead, we’ll begin looking ahead to new class placements, welcoming new teachers, and making thoughtful plans to ensure a smooth and successful transition into the year ahead. This time of preparation is both exciting and important, and we are committed to creating an environment where every student feels supported, inspired, and ready to take on new challenges with confidence.

Back to School Information
Our website has been updated with important back to school information. Please find the information here.
Outdoor Learning
With the warmer weather, we are taking more of our learning outside, including our gym lessons. We recommend that your student comes to school with the following items to ensure they are prepared for the outdoors:
- Outdoor running shoes
 - Hat
 - Water bottle
 - Sunscreen and bug spray (applied at home before school)
 - Dressing in layers (for the cooler mornings and warmer afternoons)

Field Trip Fees
Currently, the school has $7500 in outstanding field trip fees. When these fees are not paid by families, the school must cover the cost. Please log into your MyCBE account over the month of June to check your balances and ensure you are caught up on all school fees and payments. You can pay online on your MyCBE account or in the office with Debit/Credit. We do not want any student to miss out on a learning activity due to the fees involved. Partial payments are an option for families and if other support is required, please reach out to the office.
Field trips are booked and paid for months in advanced, and the fee is calculated by the number of students in the whole class. If your child missed a field trip it is expected that payment is still collected.
Lost and Not-Yet Found
As we start to organize and clean up for the end of the year, we are encouraging families to check the lost and found. If your child is missing something, please encourage them to pick them up this week or stop by the school to look for missing items. Before or after school is a good time for parents to have a look through the “lost and not yet found” items. Unclaimed items will be packed and donated at the end of the day on June 26.
All Sport One Day
All Sport One Day is a fantastic, free sport discovery event designed specifically for children and youth aged 6 to 17. It offers a unique opportunity for young participants to try out a new sport or physical activity in a fun and supportive environment.
Whether your child is curious about learning a new skill or simply eager to get active, this event is an excellent way to introduce them to the world of sports without any financial commitment. By participating, kids can explore different sports, discover their interests, and potentially find a new passion, all while making new friends and staying active.
All Sport One Day 2025 will be held on Saturday, June 21 and Saturday, Aug. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
