Principal’s Message
“The joy of gathering is unparalleled.”
-Unknown
When we think of the holiday season, we often think of gathering, an opportunity for friends and family to come together and partake in festivities. This week we held our first annual Winter Frostival. From the festive music to colourful crafts, playful activities and warm conversations between families, this gathering provided a space for all to connect, recharge, and share in the spirit of the season.
There’s something irreplaceable about the energy of being in the same space and sharing stories. It’s in these moments that we often find comfort, inspiration, and a sense of belonging. Moreover, when we gather, we can learn from each other—whether it's through conversation, cooperation, or just being in each other's presence. These interactions help us grow, broaden our perspectives, and remind us of the importance of community.
A big thank you to all who helped organize and participate in making this gathering so special. Your involvement makes all the difference, and we look forward to continuing to work together to create a school culture of connection, kindness, and shared experiences.

Staffing Update
It is with mixed emotions that we share the news that Karolina Filarecka, our Administrative Assistant, will be heading off for a new adventure with the CBE beginning December 9, 2024. For anyone who has visited the office, you know Karolina supports our school with such kindness, care and compassion. Beyond her regular responsibilities, Karolina is often seen colouring with a student, helping a new family get settled or simply handing out a hug. She will be very missed by our whole school community. We wish her the best in her new role and look forward to hearing about the connections she has made and the lives she has impacted!
School Council/Parent Society Notes
The next School Council/Parent Society Meeting will be on Thursday, January 22 beginning at 6:30pm in our Learning Commons. This meeting is the AGM of both the School Council and the Parents Society. If you would like to hear more about both groups, please see the school website.
