Reminder: Remembrance Day Assemblies – Families Welcome
We will be recognizing Remembrance Day on Tuesday, November 10. To accommodate our youngest students, we will having two assemblies:
· 9:30 AM (doors open at 9:15 for guests) - Kindergarten and Grade 1. This is a “lite” version of the assembly, designed for our youngest students. There will be a review of why we have Remembrance Day, a performance by the Grade 4/5 students, a wreath laying, some Grade 1 students sharing their thoughts, and a moment of silence.
· 10:30 AM (doors open at 10:15 for guests) - Grades 2-5. This will include everything from the earlier assembly, plus a special guest. We are pleased to welcome veteran John MacCormack to our school for this special presentation.
As a reminder, we encourage all of our Girl Guides and Scouts to wear their uniforms on this day.
Reminder: Poppy Donations Accepted November 10
We will be providing every student with a poppy prior to the assembly, thanks to our local legion. We encourage all students to bring a monetary donation for their poppy on that day. Leadership Club students will come around and collect the funds. Thank you in advance!
Please remember that the staff parking lot is strictly reserved for staff members at all times, and please prioritize safety over convenience. We ask that you park legally on adjacent streets and walk your child the remaining distance. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school community safe!
